This is the score to an imaginary documentary about Poverty Island and Lake Michigan’s maritime heritage. It serves as a tribute to the beauty and local pride of the lake and its lighthouses.

When Greenbay, Wisconsin became a major port up completion of the rail line in 1865 a lighthouse was constructed on Poverty Island to allow vessels to use the passage at night. Through the years the Poverty Island light station granted safe passage until its deactivation in 1995.
